"My Dreams, My Future"

I have lots of dreams for my life. And these dreams are my future. And to be able to achieve it, I do "NOT JUST SOMETHING".
My Dreams are so high, so it seem impossible to reach. But I'm not the type of person who easily quits and lost hope. If there is a need for me not to eat my breakfast, snacks, lunch and dinner to finish my requirements in school, I can do it. I even want to be a scholar too. If ever I will be lucky enough to pass the test for scholarship I will not be ashamed of myself. Because for me that would be a blessing and not something that would discriminate you. And to be a scholar will help me a lot.
I am really willing to sacrifice everything for whatever I am doing and I will do is something not for my own sake but for my family and future family.
It's not bad to dream as long as you do lots of sacrifices. Dreaming alone will not lead you to a bright future, you need to work hard for it and sacrifice to achieve those dreams.

Change: It starts with me

Change. According to Philosopher Heraclitus, there is nothing permanent except change. It is a permanent thing to all existing creature including mankind. Humans change in attitude and physique which is very evident as a person grows up and mature.
There are lots of things in me that I need to change. Changes that would contribute to the progress of our country. We all know that one of the problems of our country is lack of discipline. And I know that I am one of the millions of Filipinos who is not discipline enough. So, I need to change.
As a student leader I must be the role model. I must initiate things that would lead to the improvement and betterment of our school. I will also encourage my fellow students to start change too. And I will convince them to join leadership trainings/workshops to develop their skills, values and attitudes so that they will be a good citizen and a great leader in the future.
Change: It starts with me. If you want to have a progressive country you should begin to change now.

"Kannawidan Ylocos Festival"

Ilocos Sur celebrates again the Kannawidan Ylocos Festival. It started last January 31 and enede yesterday February 6, 2011. For this year's celebration I enjoyed it. Why?
First reason is that last February 4, 2011 I was awarded as one of the Outstanding Girl Scout in the Province during the SIGLAT ESKWELA as part of the Kannawidan Ylocos Festival held at the Provincial Capitol.
Second reason is because of what I saw in the trade fair just beside the provincial Capitol. I was impressed of the unique products that I saw. And because of this I am very proud that I am an Ilocana.
The Kannawidan Ylocos Festival is also a chance for the lovely ladies of Ilocos Sur to expose their beauties and talents to the people like the Saniata contest held last Feb. 5.
I am also happy that the Provincial Government conducted this kind of festival. There is always new everytime we celebrate this festival. Many tourists are even visiting us here because of this occasion. And for me this is an opportunity to let other people see, touch and taste the unique products of Ilocos Sur.

VIGAN CITY FIESTA

Biguenos celebrate their city fiesta every 25th of January. This year another Grand Celebration was done. Last January 25, 2011 a Grand Parade was done in the morning, this was participated by the Vigan City Officials, teachers, students, company/agency employees here in Vigan and others.
Since we, the CAT Officers of ISNHS, were required to participate in the said occasion, I bought the things I needed like the gloves and neckerchief. After the grand parade, I was so tired and at the same time I was so happy. I was so happy because many people praised us. They said that the CAT officers of ISNHS were really good during the parade.
In the evening there were activities in Plaza Burgos but unfortunately I wasn't able to watch.
But anyway, I'm hoping that next year another grand celebration will happen again and more artists will come here in Vigan.

3rd Grading is about to face its ending...

During this grading period I do not have good attendance in class. Why? It's because I was chosen to be a Filipino broadcaster and together with the other broadcasters and writers, we represented the school in the Regional Schools Press Conference (RSPC) at Sta.Barbara, Pangasinan.

But even though I missed lots of my lessons I tried to cope up. I listen to my teachers during discussions and I seek the help of my friends and classmates. I borrowed their notes and tried to study it all by myself. I am also doing my best to pass all the requirements needed before the Periodical test. and speaking of the periodical test , I'll sacrifice a lot for it. If there is a need for me not to sleep, I'll do it so that I'll get high scores.

And in this coming last 4th grading period in our high school life, I'll try not to focus in ECA anymore and concentrate in my Academics.

" New Year, New Me"

GOODBYE 2010! HELLO 2011!

If you are going to ask me how was I this last 2010... Well, I don't know how will I describe myself; the way I bond with my friends, my attitude, my style, I can't think of an exact word to describe them. But one thing I know is that I want a new me this TWENTY-ELEVEN.

Yes, new me. I want a better Christle Mae Avila this time. I want to be like my friends who act and think already like matured persons. Almost everyone knows that I am a childish girl this past years, and so it's time to grow up and be a lady.

Beside the things that I mentioned I also want to strive harder in my studies, especially now I am about to enter the college life. If you're wondering how about my love life, well to have a boyfriend is not on the list of my plans.

So these are the things that you'll expect from me this 2011. New Year, New CHRISTLE MAE Q. AVILA. How about you? What are your plans for this year?

TRUE ESSENCE OF CHRISTMAS

-"Whenever I see girls and boys selling lanterns on the street, I remember the child in the manger as he sleeps"-

YES! It's CHRISTMAS again! and I expect to see lots of people giving gift to their loved ones. But is it really the gift that matters during Christmas?

Christmas is the time of sharing and showing your love to your fellowmen. And for me the most important thing during this especial event is the bonding with your family and relatives. In our family we usually have a simple gathering during the 25th of December. It is already like a tradition to us. We share stories about the things happening in our school and others. We really enjoy Christmas time because even once a year we have time to eat together and share laughter.

So I say that the true essence of Christmas cannot be found on the materials they give us for the true essence of Christmas is sharing and showing your love to your neighbors.
